About

The Spokane Swing Dance Club (SSDC) was formed in 1995 by a group of people just like you who love to dance. Organized as a non-profit corporation in the state of Washington, SSDC has continued to grow each year. For a copy of our club by-laws click here.

SSDC is open to anyone who enjoys dancing. The Club’s primary focus is Swing Dancing. The two most popular of these are West Coast Swing and East Coast Swing. Either can be danced to a variety of music.

SSDC offers many other types and styles in addition to Swing such as Night Club Two Step, Country Two Step, Salsa, Tango, Lindy, and Waltz.

SSDC holds dances on the lst and 3rd Sunday of each month. Before each dance we offer a free one-hour beginning lesson. On the first Sunday of the month the lesson will always be west coast swing. The lesson on the third Sunday varies, but may include Night Club Two Step, Country Two Step, Salsa, Waltz, or any other social dance. In addition to the free lessons SSDC will offer workshops during the course of the year featuring some of the finest dancers from across the United States.

We certainly hope to see you at one or more of our future dances. Dances are held at the Corbin Center located at 827 W Cleveland.

See you there!
